Congrats to Megan and Dan {Meg & Dano} who got married at the St. Petersburg Women's Club this month! Let me just start out by saying that Megan's flowers are by far the coolest and most elegant bouquet I've ever seen. Made from recycled materials such as paper and wood, Megan designed and put together five bouquets for $150! I was so impressed and in awe of how gorgeous they were! Lets now talk about how gorgeous Megan was! She looked so elegant and flawless from the second I arrived until the moment I left. These two had an outdoor ceremony under the trees overlooking the water as they exchanged their rings, read each other hand written vows and tied a rope knot signifying their everlasting love for each other. Come reception time I had a pretty clear picture of what to expect from the men of this wedding-Dan and his groomsmen were full of laughs and jokes and didn't lack one bit on the entertainment category. I have to say this is the first time I've witnessed a can of tuna be exchanged between best man and groom during the toast {apparently he owed him one for many years!} - You just can't beat that! To wrap up the night Megan and Dan let me sneak them outside for some gorgeous sunset shots! I love couples who want to spend a bit of extra time taking those extra special photos that will last a lifetime! A special thanks to her bridesmaids for stopping traffic and holding lights! Thank you for letting me capture this day for you - I know you two belong together and will spend many happy years side by side!

Congratulations to Megan and Kristian who got married last weekend at Nova 535 in St Petersburg, FL! This is a unique and trendy art venue tucked away in downtown St Pete with fun architecture, a bamboo courtyard and old brick walls lined with art work and personalized wedding details. It was a gorgeous day in St Pete, the warmest wedding day I've had so far this year, but it was clear with blue skies and puffy white clouds! I met Megan at her hotel downtown while Clint headed over to be with the guys for some getting ready pictures. Walking into the room I knew it was going to be a fun day as I was greeted by 10 bridesmaids, joyful children, proud mommas and a glowing bride! This day was unique as we were able to do several "first looks" with Megan and the people that mean the most to her in her life. Tears flowed as Megan and Kristian saw each other for the first time and they didn't stop flowing when her dad and then brother had a first peek at her minutes before the ceremony. "We want to try and get all the tears out now!" they said! After officially becoming husband and wife we did a quick set of formals because these two, along with their friends and families, wanted to spend as much time as possible celebrating this new marriage. The reception was full of dancing, laughter {in part because Kristian's dad is hilarious!} and lots and lots of love. Thanks for letting us be a part of this journey with you guys!
Congratulations to Courtney and John who got married last weekend in Dade City! This wedding was brilliant and beautiful to me for so many reasons. Courtney and John had originally planned to get married a month ago but needed to postpone due to health reasons of their daughter. After some time she recovered {we all thank God!} and the wedding was rescheduled for April 2nd. April 2nd rolls around and there is the worst weather possible for an outdoor wedding. Torrential downpour, thunder and cracks of lightning, and not much of a back up plan. I woke up thinking "I hope these two are on board with shooting some awesome rain photos because I'm ready for it!" By some miracle, come 3pm the rain had stopped and their friends and family could begin setting up the ceremony and reception site on a beautiful piece of family property in Dade City. When I arrived I knew I was going to LOVE this day as I began to look around. The most original, unique, vintage and antique backyard wedding I've ever seen. Everywhere I looked there was something colorful, elegant, vintage and fun! Aside from the decor, Courtney and John were an amazing couple! The moment I met Courtney I felt such a beautiful presence and it is so evident that John absolutely adores her. Although we got a late start to the ceremony due to the rain, everyone hung in there to get amazing photos and celebrate an amazing love. I'm so thankful to have been part of this day-I'm honored to be the one that captured these memories for their family! :)
Congratulations to Anne & Pat who go married last weekend in Safety Harbor! I am, yet again, so pleased that these two were flexible and trusting in me to go with the flow as we had a very rainy {and windy} day to deal with! We had a last minute switch up to shoot formals both inside and outside at the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa instead of heading to Phillipe Park but everyone, bridal party included, was so great and went with the flow. I'm always so grateful for people who understand I cannot control mother nature and continue to put their trust in me to get great photos regardless! I so enjoyed Anne's girls as they were not only helpful and easy to work with but I realized upon arrival that I went to high school with most of them and recognized them by name and face-how fun! One bridesmaid {thank you Jennifer!} hung all the dresses up with wire on the hangers to be ready for when I got there; another bridesmaid {thank you Vianca!} provided an amazing vintage tray to shoot detail shots on; and my bride {thank you Anne!} was fully prepared with all of her details in one spot when I arrived :) Awesome job guys! As the day progressed I knew that this was a fun bunch and once the reception got started I was not surprised with the awesome dance moves provided by both Anne and Pat and especially one of his groomsmen. The special "dollar dance" consisted of Pat having to replicate dance moves put on by his guys and depending on how well he did he got paid for his show-it was a lot of fun to watch, and Pat, I'm impressed! I wish you both a lifetime of happiness and am so thankful to have been a part of your love story! #smittenmittons
Congratulations to Nicole and Travis who got married last weekend at the Grand Hyatt in Tampa, Florida!! From the moment I arrived I was greeted by the friendliest of staff who were there to help with whatever I needed and I am always so appreciative of those who do their job well, and even go out of the way to assist :) It was a beautiful venue, a gorgeous day, and Travis and Nicole {along with their friends and family} were so amazing! I'm not sure I've ever been thanked so many times throughout a wedding day for the work that I have been hired to do! These two are certainly some very special people! One of the most touching moments of the whole day was when Travis' dad, who also happened to be his best man, gave the toast at the reception. There was not a dry eye in the room {including me!} The love between father and son was spectacular to see and it carried over into every aspect of the day. The love Nicole and Travis share is beyond words and it is so evident with how he looked at her, touched her gently, and allowed her to really be "herself" at every moment of the day. I am so thankful when couples trust me during their formals and allow me to say, "Hey! Lets do this, then this, then this!" and they are 100% with me on it. We had 30 minutes to shoot bride/groom formals and had a few places to hit before the sun went down. Starting on the 14th floor of The Grand Hyatt in Armani's restaurant we jumped on the elevator to go downstairs, ran outside to take our first set of formals, jumped back on the elevator to go back up 14 floors, set up my lights really quick, moved some furniture around, climbed on top of the furniture, and posed their little booties off while the sun went down over Tampa Bay. Phew! So glad they stuck with me through it because I am so happy with the results! A special thanks to their bridal party for a super fun formal inside the lounge during the reception as well! I'm so happy for Travis and Nicole and I cannot wait to see where their life takes them :)
Congratulations to Brianne and Kyle who got married last weekend at The Sirata on St. Pete Beach! I loved getting to know these two over the past year through their engagement session and also keeping up with them on social media. One of my favorite parts of being a photographer {especially a wedding photographer} is really forming relationships with my couples - I love the friendships that I get to make! :) These two were incredibly patient and definitely went with the flow on their wedding day...it rained the whole day {the WHOLE day}...so adjustments had to be made. We got a bit creative with some formals under an umbrella, carried Brianne's dress and veil very high off the ground every where we walked, and photographed our bridal party formals in the reception hall before letting guests in. We are so thankful Brianne and Kyle trusted us to take care of them on their wedding day! Now I must admit I LOVE taking detail photos at weddings, but this one I especially had fun with! I wanted to bring The Sirata lobby furniture home with me {see below} and the centerpieces were so fun! A special shout out goes to Bling Bling Bloom who provided amazing floral arrangements and Georgia Kaden who killed it {as usual} on makeup! So happy for you guys!
Monica and Luke got married on New Years Day 2016 and we were so excited to ring in the new year with such a joyous event! What a day this was! From the glorious Marriott Waterside Hotel {I've never been inside a hotel more majestic!} to the expansive Curtis Hixon Park where they said "I do"... then pictures by the river and with the skyline in the background, finally finishing up at the Tampa Theater for some night shots before heading to The Vault {yeah, this place is awesome!} for the reception. We certainly hit all the spots in downtown Tampa to give these two, and their 24 member bridal party, plenty of unique shots to keep the memories alive for years to come! Clint and I really enjoyed shooting in the city as a lot of what we do is a tad more country-we got the opportunity to explore fun new backdrops and awesome perspectives! We wish Monica and Luke lots of happiness in their many married years to come! Thanks for letting us be a part of your special day!
Bride: Marriott Waterside Hotel Groom: Courtyard Marriott Ceremony: Kiley Gardens - Curtis Hixon Park Formals taken at: Curtis Hixon Park Waterfront; Tampa Theater Reception: The Vault Congratulations to LAUREN and MARK who got married a few weeks ago at the Shabby Chic Barn @ Saxon Manor in Brooksville, FL! These two are just so sweet and I loved being a part of this day with them {I know I say that a lot...but I always mean it!!!!} I was so excited that this venue was within a mile of my new house that I welcomed Lauren and her girls into my home for them to get dressed and do a few portraits before we headed to the venue. I knew it would give us more space and also a fun vibe to have the 1925 wood floors and old windows for some unique portraits! I loved trying some new fun ideas with Lauren...her girls were great helping me out with these too! The funniest part of this whole wedding experience is that Lauren told me after the wedding that they were "so done with taking pictures" and "do we have to take more!?" but after all was said and done she was "so glad I made her take that one!" because it turned out awesome ;) Great words from clients! But my absolute favorite part of their wedding was the guest book they chose to use. Lauren and Mark asked their guests to highlight their favorite Bible verse and sign their name next to it. I loved how original it was and I loved being able to use it in a creative way in my photos. In addition to the creative, we were blessed with some great sunlight during their formals and I love how they turned out! These two have a love that shine just as bright as the sun so it was absolutely fitting. God bless this couple!
Congratulations to Mallory and Chris who got married last weekend at gorgeous Lange Farm in Dade City, FL! It was one of the coolest nights of the year so far {I was actually cold and contemplating a jacket outside at the reception} but it was a welcomed change from sweating and feeling faint from the extreme heat! I have been to weddings at Lange Farm but this was my first time actually photographing a wedding there and I was so excited! The rolling hills, tall oak trees, adorable barn, and {mostly} nice horses make for one heck of a venue! Mallory and Chris fit right in here as Mallory and her girls all wore their cowgirl boots, and Chris and his guys....well....they took advantage of the venue being vast, yet secluded, as you'll see in a photo below! ;) This wedding was full of love and tradition and I just love witnessing the different ideas and passed down customs from one generation to the next. At the reception we were all surprised with a "Livernios ritual" as Chris was shackled with a ball and chain with the names of all married couples in the family year after year dating back 40 years! Chris was taunted by all the men in the family, Mallory and Chris had a dance with it attached to his ankle, then she "had the option" to take it off or leave it on. She took it off :) It was fun watching these two families come together as one and I'm so glad to have been a part of this special day!
Congratulations to Lucy and Bryan who got married at an adorable little church in Dunedin, FL. Historic Andrew's Memorial Chapel was built in 1871 and has all the charm and vintage appeal that is elegant and classic. There is nothing like having a wedding in a church that you just know 1,000's of people have fallen in love and started their lives together in. This couple was absolutely beautiful and a true pleasure to work with. I love a bride who is open to letting me use my {creative} on her! We had a gorgeous day that felt a little bit like fall and the perfect overcast day for stunning portraits! Lucy is of Bulgarian heritage and her family was just adorable as I tried to speak to some of them {who didn't speak English!} I learned a few words in Bulgarian so I could shout out to them as we were doing family formals :) The reception was something I've never seen before....growing up in the Greek community {Tarpon Springs} I've experienced the European celebrations but this was a whole different level of celebratory fun! Native dances and new customs were an integral part of the reception and I loved being introduced to it! Everyone was incredibly nice, so full of joy, and thanked me 100 times! I felt honored to be a part of this special day. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your celebration and many wishes of happiness for your lifetime of love, Lucy and Bryan!
Janelle and Vince got married in beautiful downtown Dade City in a church that has been standing for 147 years! The craftmanship of this elegant masterpiece blew me away-it was absolutely gorgeous! Also gorgeous was bride, Janelle, who couldn't wait to say "I do" to the love of her life, Vince, just weeks after taking the bar. She told me that the wedding and her love were a great distraction while she waited for results! I loved watching these two get married in this church-their love was so apparent and the windows let in God's light as if He was saying, "I approve." It really was beautiful! After the ceremony Janelle let me know that she had picked out a spot that she wanted to go to for her and her new husband's formals {this was a favorite childhood spot she's loved for years}. As we drove to the spot which was only 7 minutes away, the sky got darker and darker and thunder started to boom around us. We only had about 10 minutes at the location with the storm growing bigger and coming closer on top of us but we all decided to stick it out as long as possible because it was just to die for {don't worry, we all lived}! I felt one raindrop, took one last photo and said lets go, and by the time we got into the car {45 seconds later} it was pouring big fat rain drops all around us! Phew! Intense, but completely worth it...just look at those photos! I am so happy for Janelle and Vince and know they will have so much happiness. Thank you for letting us be a part of your love story!
Caryn and "Doc" got married at a quaint little lodge in North Carolina called Spruce Pine Lodge. I have known Caryn since I was about six years old and I'm so glad we've kept in touch throughout our growing and changing lives! She looked absolutely stunning on her wedding day, and the two of them smiled from ear to ear all day long {as you can see in almost every photo!} They say its good luck for it to rain on your wedding day, and they got that out of the way early in the day as it poured big fat rain drops for a good portion of the morning, then the sky parted and the world was calm as these two professed their love for each other in front of friends and family. My husband and partner, Clint, did an amazing job taking the wheel during the wedding and I'm so grateful for him! I also want to give a huge special thanks to one of my best friends, Jessi, who assisted at the wedding and did an amazing job as well! I am so happy for Caryn and Doc- they compliment each other so well and they both deserve a lifetime of happiness!
Congratulations to this gorgeous couple, Ann Marie and Kelly!!! These two got married at Nova 535 in St Petersburg, FL which was such a neat venue. I started the day, however, at the Birchwood Hotel downtown where I met the bride and her NINE bridesmaids! Upon arrival I knew it was going to be one fun {and high energy day}! I wasn't wrong about that...these girls were so great to work with. All of them were so helpful, sweet and fun to be around! The boys had their "fun" experience as they got ready as well-apparently no one learned how to tie a bow tie before the event and plenty of time was spent trying to figure it out {lol}! My favorite part of the day took place right before the ceremony when the bridesmaids decided to each give Ann Marie a piece of advice/loving toast as they passed a bottle of champaigne around. There wasn't a dry eye in the room {including myself!} and it was just such a touching moment to witness. After the ceremony the party began, and what a party it was. I loved seeing everyone on the dance floor having a blast and celebrating with loved ones. I'm grateful to have been part of this special occasion. I wish Ann Marie and Kelly so much happiness-they definitely deserve it!
Nova 535 St Petersburg, FL - - Birchwood Hotel St Petersburg, FL - - Courtyard Marrior St Petersburg, FL - - Jacque and Jarrod got married at Saxon Manor in Brooksville, FL. It was a gorgeous day for a wedding and the bride & groom were amazing to work with. Clint took the guys before the ceremony for some fun shots of them, while I took the girls for some elegant {and also fun!} photos :) Jacque and Jarrod requested a "first look" before the ceremony so that we could capture the first moment Jarrod saw his beautiful bride-and she was absolutely beautiful! One of my favorite elements of their wedding day was the fun colors and playful wardrobe they all had. The groomsmen wore pink vests, bowties, and argyle socks! The bridesmaids wore blue dresses with pink shoes-Jacque even had blue custom made shoes under her gown! We loved being a part of your special day-thank you for inviting us into your love story! We wish you a lifetime of happiness <3
